Criminal Justice is a challenging and rewarding field, involving the full scope of the criminal justice system. Criminal justice professionals can be in a variety of positions, both in the public eye and behind the scenes, directly involved with trials, incarcerations and convictions. The Criminal Justice degree programs at Miller-Motte specialize in offering highly detailed and in-depth course material that properly prepares graduates for exhilarating careers in the criminal justice field.
Our Criminal Justice degree training program prepares students for careers in the areas of corrections, law enforcement, and/or security. At Miller-Motte students are given the opportunity to examine the legal process from several different perspectives. This includes areas such as law enforcement, the court systems and the corrections system. Students will also study the effect that criminal justice and crime have upon society.
As a graduate of Miller-Motte’s Criminal Justice Associate degree program, you will have the opportunity to find an entry-level position in areas such as corrections, security, juvenile delinquency, victim counseling, social work, the court system, law enforcement or private investigations. You can also choose to continue your education with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice.

The Miller-Motte Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice program builds on a previously earned Associate degree or equivalent program and provides students with a broad base of knowledge and skills required for a career in a variety of private and public criminal justice organizations. Students complete three distinct areas of study: general education, theory, and applied learning to develop practical working knowledge. Students who possess a previously awarded Associate degree in Criminal Justice or equivalent course work in related subject areas will be granted 90 quarter credit hours toward the completion of their Bachelor degree. In addition to the opportunities gained from an Associate’s Degree, graduates with a Bachelor Degree in Criminal Justice may also pursue advanced positions in the criminal justice field.
