Barbering

The Barbering program is designed to provide competency-based knowledge, scientific/art principles, and hands-on fundamentals associated with the Barbering industry. MMC’s advanced approach provides a simulated salon environment which enables students to develop manipulative skills and knowledge that can lead to an entry-level career in the field of Barbering. Upon completion of the program, the student will be prepared to take the North Carolina State Board of Barber Examiners licensing examination. Employment opportunities may include barber shops, and other related businesses as a barber, barber shop manager or owner, manufacturer’s representative, barber equipment and supplies salesperson, and more.
