Roanoke, VA (7.14.16) — Students without a high school diploma or GED now have the opportunity to take free GED prep courses at Miller-Motte Technical College.

“Many times students want to go back to school but have challenging schedules or are concerned they won’t be prepared,” said Angela Martin, Campus Director.  “This is an opportunity to alleviate those concerns.”

Classes take place every Monday and Wednesday from 6:00pm until 8:30pm and are instructor-led and administered by Roanoke Valley - Alleghany Region 5 Adult Education Program.   “We are pleased to establish a partnership with Miller-Motte Technical College because the facility offers a college atmosphere for the region's GED preparation class in southwest county.  Adults have the opportunity to obtain their GED credentials which will lead to career pathways for their future,” said Mrs. Donnie Spangler, Regional Program Manager of Region 5 Adult Education.

Ms. Martin adds, “We’re excited to help more people realize their dream of pursuing higher education to better their lives. We are very proud to offer the GED prep classes at our Roanoke Campus.”
