Does the law interest you? Do you want to be a vital part of a legal team? Have you ever wondered how to become a paralegal? If the answer is yes to any of these questions, then the perfect career move for you may be earning an Associate of Applied Science degree by completing our Paralegal program.
At Miller-Motte College Raleigh, we strive to provide paralegal training at an affordable cost, and we’ve been doing so for nearly a century! We started in 1916 as a small school training courtroom stenographers. We’ve expanded to help students in Raleigh, Durham, Clayton, Knightdale and Garner areas earn an Associate of Applied Science degree.
This is a Hybrid track program. What does this mean for you? You will take most of your coursework online with video, audio and text-based lessons and interactive discussion groups. You’ll then spend a few hours each week at the campus for face-to-face training. It’s the best of both worlds, for your convenience.
Our Paralegal program is a unique combination of hands-on learning, classroom instruction and real world experience. Paralegal classes will teach you about legal research and writing, various laws, regulations and so much more. You’ll also learn practical skills from our qualified instructors—skills you’ll need to be successful in the field. Below are just some of the Paralegal courses you’ll take as you complete your Associate of Applied Science degree:
Near the end of the Paralegal program, you’ll take part in an externship at a local business that will provide you with the work experience and practical hands-on training many employers look for in new hires.
