What Will Nail Technician Training Give You?

At Miller-Motte College, we strive to give you the best educational experience possible. Our qualified instructors will teach you the proper skills and techniques so you can give your future clients the highest quality care and service. Our school spa will even give you the opportunity to train and interact with real clients! You'll graduate knowing about nail design and you will be eligible to take your State Board Licensing Exam.

Here are just a few of the courses you’ll take in our Nail Technology Program:

  • Nail Technology Laboratory: This course gives you hands-on experience in applying nail tips, creating nail art and giving manicures and pedicures.
  • Nail Technology I: In this course, you’ll get an overview of basic Nail Technology concepts. You’ll learn how to interact with clients and provide a proper nail consultation, as well as safety measures such as sterilization, hygiene and infection control.
  • State Board Preparation: This course will prepare you to obtain your license, covering state requirements, documentation and more.

Platform Artist

If you have an eye for design, you should consider becoming a Platform Artist. Platform Artists don’t just sell nail products; they travel the country educating Nail Technicians on the latest trends in nail art and general nail care. If you want a chance to show off your artistry at conferences and other events, this is the career path for you!

Manicurist and Pedicurist

As a Manicurist and Pedicurist, you’ll clean, shape, polish and decorate clients’ fingernails and toenails, and you’ll use a variety of infection control and safety techniques to keep client’s nails healthy and looking beautiful.

Nail Product Salesperson

Nail Product Salespeople combine business knowledge and nail care skills into a successful career. You’ll establish relationships with clients as you recommend products and educate them on proper nail care and design techniques.
