Miller-Motte’s Programs

Miller-Motte College and Miller-Motte Technical College are accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (“ACICS”) to award certificates, diplomas and associate degrees. The United States Department of Education ended its recognition of ACICS as an accrediting agency in December 2016 and is requiring that we and all other ACICS-accredited schools obtain accreditation from another recognized accreditor by June 12, 2018. Miller-Motte College is licensed by the North Carolina State Board of Community Colleges. The North Carolina State Board of Community Colleges is not an accrediting agency.  

The College is approved by the Board of Governors of the University of North Carolina to conduct associate of applied science degrees in Medical Assisting and Surgical Technology.

North Carolina: Fayetteville

Miller-Motte College is licensed by the North Carolina State Board of Community Colleges. The North Carolina State Board of Community Colleges is not an accrediting agency.  

The College is approved by the Board of Governors of the University of North Carolina to conduct associate of applied science degrees in Criminal Justice, Paralegal and Medical Assisting.

North Carolina: Greenville

The College is approved by the Board of Governors of the University of North Carolina to offer bachelor of science degrees in Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Allied Health Management and Nursing; associate of applied science degrees in Accounting, Criminal Justice, Dental Assisting, Electronic Medical Records, Management, Medical Assisting, Microcomputer Applications, Paralegal, and Surgical Technology.

South Carolina: Charleston, Conway

Miller-Motte Technical College is licensed by the South Carolina Commission on Higher Education: 1122 Lady Street, Suite 300, Columbia, SC 29201, (803) 737-2260.  Licensure indicates that minimum standards have been met; it is not an endorsement or guarantee of quality.

Tennessee: Chattanooga, Clarksville, Madison

Miller-Motte Technical College is authorized for operation as a postsecondary educational institution by the Tennessee Higher Education Commission. This authorization is renewed each year and is based on an evaluation by minimum standards concerning quality of education, ethical business practices, health and safety, and fiscal responsibility. The 

Clarksville, Chattanooga, and Madison Campuses offer the associate of applied science degree under authority granted by the State of Tennessee through the Tennessee Higher Education Commission.

Virginia: Lynchburg, Roanoke

Certified to operate by State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV).

The Respiratory Therapy program is currently under a probationary accreditation. Upon graduation, the student is eligible to take the national board certification examination (C.R.T and R.R.T) given by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
