Raleigh Weld Wars & Open House

Experience the energy, skill, and opportunity at Miller-Motte College Raleigh’s Weld Wars & Open House on Friday, May 15, 2026, from 3:00–6:00 PM.

This exciting event brings together current students for our Weld Wars competition—an action-packed showcase of hands-on welding skills, precision, and creativity. Watch as students go head-to-head and demonstrate the techniques they’ve learned in real-world training environments.

Starting at 3:00 PM, the campus will also open its doors to prospective students and the community for an interactive Open House experience.

This is your opportunity to explore hands-on career training in a real campus setting. During the event, you’ll be able to tour the facility, meet instructors and staff, and learn more about programs such as Combination Welding and other skilled trades offerings. You’ll also get a firsthand look at student work and live demonstrations happening throughout the competition.
