What You’ll Learn in Our Business Administration Program
As you begin Miller-Motte Technical College’s Business Administration program, you will learn how businesses are run and how they function best. You will gain a solid foundation in how to supervise other workers, plan operations, establish policies and pursue business goals.

- Customer Relations and Servicing: This course introduces the students to the importance of customer service in business today. Students will be exposed to the essential skills needed when dealing with both external and internal customers. Emphasis will be focused on verbal and non- verbal communication skills, dealing with challenging customers, solving problems, surveying customer satisfaction and retaining customers.
- Small Business Management: In this course, you will learn how to become an entrepreneur by learning what it takes to start a small business. You’ll cover organizational structure, raising capital, inventory controls, marketing and navigating legal barriers.
- Accounting I: Students are acquainted with basic accounting principles. Emphasis is on the accounting cycle, accounting for cash receipts, disbursements, banking procedures and reconciliations, payroll processes and recording the basic transactions of a sole proprietorship.
Our Business Administration program consists of more than just Accounting or Small Business Management courses. We also incorporate real-world experience into our training. Through our externship course, you will have the opportunity to work in the field, learn new skills and network with other business professionals.
