Q1: Is Miller-Motte a Real College?

The short answer is yes, we are a real college.

The long answer is also yes, we are an accredited vocational college offering certificate, diploma and degree level programs. Miller-Motte College is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC). Our programs are composed of skills-based curriculum and vocational education designed to train students for their career field of choice. We have 11 campuses across the U.S. and offer three learning modes, including online, to provide our students flexible learning opportunities.

Q3. Is Miller-Motte a Private School?

Yes, Miller-Motte College is a private, for-profit college with programs designed to create entry-level ready applicants upon program completion. Miller-Motte College started as a training center in 1916 and expanded over the years.

Q4. Is Miller-Motte College Accredited?

Miller-Motte College’s main and branch locations are accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC). Miller-Motte College in Chattanooga, TN is authorized as a postsecondary educational institution by the Tennessee Higher Education Commission.

Our Augusta, Columbus, and Macon, GA campuses are authorized by the Georgia Nonpublic Postsecondary Education Commission.

Our Fayetteville, Jacksonville, Raleigh, and Wilmington, NC campuses are licensed by the North Carolina State Board of Community Colleges. The North Carolina State Board of Community Colleges is not an accrediting agency. MMC is approved to grant associate degrees by the Board of Governors of the University of North Carolina. Our Wilmington campus is approved by the Board of Governors of the University of North Carolina to offer bachelor’s degrees.

Our Charleston and Conway, SC campuses are licensed by the South Carolina Commission on Higher Education.

Our Tulsa, OK campus is licensed by the Oklahoma Board of Private Vocational Schools.

Q5. Which MMC Programs have Programmatic Accreditation?

The Dental Assisting program offered through Wilmington, NC campus is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation.

The Surgical Technology program at MMC’s main campus is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP). This is upon the recommendation of the Accreditation Review Council on Education for Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (ARC/STSA).

Q6. Does Miller-Motte Have a Nursing Program?

Miller-Motte College in Tulsa, OK offers a Practical Nursing program. Students in this program may earn an Associate of Occupational Studies in as little as 15 months. Upon completion, students are eligible to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX)*.

This program is approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing.

*Licensure requirements for taking and passing licensure exams are subject to change and are not controlled by Miller-Motte. These licensure examinations are conducted by third-party agencies. Miller-Motte cannot guarantee a graduate’s eligibility status.

Yes, we offer a variety of bachelor’s degree program options. With Miller-Motte, you can earn a:

Online program options are currently available through our Chattanooga, TN campus. Programs available in this learning mode include:

Students who live in the state of California cannot apply to Miller-Motte College. If a currently enrolled Miller-Motte student relocates to California, they can complete their current term. However, they are ineligible to apply for any terms thereafter.
