Definition of Placement
The Miller-Motte College Chattanooga campus also uses the Tennessee Higher Education Commission (THEC) placement rate methodology. The THEC placement rate definition is:
“Placement rate” means the number who obtain employment in a related field as a percentage of the number placeable, that is, Placement Rate = Number Placed/Number Placeable × 100.
Number Placeable is Number of Completions minus the number of completers not placed due to special circumstances (if applicable), plus the number of withdrawals that placed (if applicable).
Surgical Technology Student Outcomes
The following chart reflects Surgical Technology student outcomes as measured by the ARC/STSA approved Outcomes Assessment Exam (OAE) pass-rate from the programs’ most recently submitted Annual Report:
Campus Location | 2017 Pass Rate percentage |
